End of line inspections have become a key focus within the Food, Drink and Tobacco industry as retailers are becoming more and more stringent about suppliers meeting correct packaging specifications, quality compliance and good manufacturing practice. The result of incorrect labelling can result in poor customer satisfaction at best; at worst, hefty fines or Emergency Product Withdrawals (EPW).

The Solution

Acrovision has created a suite of in-line Package and Label Inspection Systems to monitor and control production lines to ensure 100% correct product in the correct packaging with the correct data. This inspection system helps to control the quality of products and their packaging, by ascertaining the sources of defects immediately after being detected by our end of line technology.

One of the new additions is the Validator OMNI  – created to read and check 1D and 2D barcodes in any possible direction / orientation on circular food packaging items.

The Validator suite will allow you to ensure 100% that the correct product is in the right packaging with the correct data. This includes correct and readable barcodes, batch codes, serial numbers, label presence and position.

We can even intergrated reject systems and Collaborative robots within the system, depending on your application.
