The DataMan 8070 Series has 30-, 45-, and 90-degree lighting options, the verifer can easily illuminate codes on textured, curved, and even highly
reflective surfaces. This provides the best chance of reliably capturing and grading code images for compliance with industry standards.

Accurate and repeatable results

The DataMan 8070 verifier has the software to grade even the most difficult DPM codes quickly and reliably. High-speed location and decoding capabilities combined with robust grading algorithms provide fast, accurate, and repeatable results.

The DataMan Setup Tool calculates an overall grade based on several quality parameters such as symbol contrast, modulation, pattern damage, and decodability. Detailed results show whether codes meet industry standards and autogenerated reports can be used to demonstrate compliance, as well as help pinpoint printing and process control issues.

Compact design and rugged housing

The DataMan 8070 verifier has an ergonomic, handheld scanner-like design that is easy to maneuver. A small imaging head gives users better access to codes in recessed or hard-to-reach locations. An optional stand accessory with adjustable height provides added flexibility when working with oddly shaped parts. A laser focus indicator feature integrated into the head of the verifier ensures the camera is always in focus. The DataMan 8070 has an IP65 rating and rugged housing to withstand even the harshest factory floor environments.
