Meet the Newest Members of Our Team

There’s always something happening at Acrovision, and this month we’re excited to welcome two new apprentices to the A-team.

As a business, we’re proud to invest in the next generation and believe that apprenticeships are a fantastic way to combine hands-on experience with learning and professional development. Our apprentices have the opportunity to learn from experienced members of the team, get involved in real projects and develop the skills they need to build a successful career.

So, let’s introduce you to the newest members of Acrovision!

Meet Harvey

Harvey has joined us as an Applications Engineer Apprentice, where he will be studying towards an Engineer Manufacturing Technician qualification.

Having always enjoyed finding out how things work and getting hands-on with practical projects, an apprenticeship seemed like the perfect way for Harvey to start his career following his Engineering BTEC.

“I’m most excited about getting involved in real projects and eventually being able to use what I’ve learned to help develop and solve problems for customers.”

By the end of the apprenticeship, Harvey hopes to have gained a strong understanding of machine vision and automation to become a confident Applications Engineer.

When he’s not at work, Harvey enjoys travelling and experiencing different places and cultures.

Meet Rory

Joining Harvey is Rory, an Applications Engineer Apprentice.

Rory has a keen interest in technology and problem solving and is keen to develop his knowledge of software, automation and machine vision, while gaining hands on experience working with customers and technology solutions. He is studying towards a level 4 manufacturing technician qualification at college.

“I am most looking forward to learning more about machine vision systems and how the technology can be used to solve real world engineering problems.”

Fun fact: Rory enjoys working on cars in his spare time and figuring out how to service/modify them!

Investing in the future

Welcoming Harvey and Rory is about more than simply growing our team. We see apprenticeships as an important part of developing future talent and building skills within our industry.

Our experienced colleagues have a wealth of knowledge to share, and we’re looking forward to seeing Harvey and Rory learn, develop and take on new challenges throughout their apprenticeships.

There will undoubtedly be plenty for them to learn along the way, but there will also be plenty of opportunities to contribute, ask questions and bring fresh ideas to the business.
