Image of AUBO-i5 Collaborative RobotThe AUBO-i5 works closely with humans without safety equipment, subject to risk assessment. This lightweight, flexible collaborative robot has a ‘Guide to teach’  function that enables quick and easy programming (no programming skills needed).

  • Power and force limiting design brings collaborative robot to a protective stop if limits are exceeded or a collision is detected. Speed and force can be adjusted to fit and optimise any application easily.
  • Emergency stop buttons located on control button and teach pendant.
  • Sensors imbedded in motor drives provide real-time feedback to prevent dangerous situations.
  • Easily integrate robot into existing production systems.
  • Re-purpose, re-deploy and or re-invent applications with the same robot.  Change the number of degrees of freedom, joints and tubes – as these are modular, it makes it easier to repair as well as re-configure.

Safety is a concern for everyone and a risk assessment is required whenever a human is working closely with a robot. A contact chart must be used to determine the collaborative robot’s maximum speed.
